The new location strengthens its presence in the North American life sciences ecosystem, providing a formal base to support more direct engagement with academic, biotech, and pharma research teams working across biologics characterization and development workflows.

The US site will provide Abselion with an organizational framework to complement its established collaborations and support its next stage of development as interest in its Amperia^™ protein quantification system extends beyond the UK and Europe. The Engine, built by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), is a Tough Tech incubator and accelerator and a strategic US hub for life sciences, biotech, and other transformational technologies. It provides specialized infrastructure, deep technical collaboration, and long-term company building support. Aligning Abselion's organizational structure with the geographic distribution of its customer base will allow the company to plan and coordinate its North American activities more effectively. This will help to support system introduction, ongoing use, and collaboration in the region, while the company continues to build on its scientific and operational foundations in the UK. Expanding the company's global footprint will also help ensure the appropriate structures are in place to support future international growth.

If you purchased a book with your event ticket but can’t make it to the event—and don’t request a refund—we’ll happily hold your book for pickup for up to 30 days after the event date.

We’ll be in touch via the email you provided at checkout to help coordinate pickup. After 30 days, if we haven’t heard from you or made other arrangements, we’ll consider the book abandoned property and may donate it or return it to inventory so it can find a new home.

CAMBRIDGE, MA — A brand new hall with various food offerings officially opened its doors on Friday in Kendall Square.

Eastern Edge is located at 290 Main St. adjacent to the Kendall/MIT MBTA Red Line station. The 11,000 square-foot venue was designed by Eimer Design and has seating for approximately 275 customers. It is starting off with a total of nine food vendors, with the last four being revealed today during its hard launch.

The vendor list features Clover, a Cambridge-based Mediterranean food business that started as a food truck nearly two decades ago, Juicy Jay’s which is getting its first physical location since being founded by Boston-based chef Jonas Beausejour, Perillas Korean Kitchen, which was founded in 2018 and named after the Korean cooking staple Perilla leaf, Everybody Gotta Eat, one of Greater Boston’s largest black-led eating operations offering comfort food, Việt Citron, which was founded by a former architect-turned-chef and uses traditional Vietnamese ingredients, Lone Star Taco Stand, which is known for its hand-made corn tortillas that blend both southern and western flavors, Bacaro Café and Bar, which offers light breakfast and coffee by morning and wine by night, Fuji Sushi, which is described as a takeout spot owned by a group with several similar franchises throughout Greater Boston, and Chatty Patty, a spin-off by the owners of Everybody Gotta Eat that focuses on beef, chicken and shrimp dishes that are flavored with unique Caribbean spices.

Eastern Edge is operated by Gather Group, which is a subsidiary of the management group Ithaka Hospitality Partners.

Two of Cambridge’s premier arts organizations, the legendary Club Passim and the state-of-the-art newcomer Arrow Street Arts, have announced a major new partnership. The collaboration, titled "Passim Presents at Arrow Street Arts," aims to bring folk and acoustic music to a larger stage while creating a vital "pipeline" for artists who have outgrown the intimate, 100-seat confines of the historic Harvard Square club.

For over 60 years, Passim has been the bedrock of the New England folk scene. However, its small capacity can sometimes be a bottleneck for rising stars. This partnership solves that problem, allowing Passim to produce shows at Arrow Street’s modern facility without losing the community-focused soul the organization is known for."Our mission has been to create exceptional, intimate musical experiences that foster meaningful connections," said Michael Busack, Executive Director of Passim. "This partnership allows us to carry that tradition forward in an exciting new way."David Altshuler, founder of Arrow Street Arts, echoed the sentiment: "Passim is a legendary venue... The series kicks off in late February and features a heavy-hitting roster of acclaimed songwriters and special celebrations.

Perhaps the most sentimental night of the series will be May 12. Hosted by Rose Cousins, the event honors Matt Smith, who began volunteering at Passim three decades ago and now serves as Managing Director. Smith is widely credited with nurturing the careers of countless musicians, and the night promises "plenty of guest appearances and hilarious stories."
