English Bulldog Puppies for Sale in Corpus Christi, TX

When it comes to buying purebred puppies, there are a lot of breeds and questions to consider. Do you want an outdoor pup or one that spends its time indoors? Are you looking for a tiny dog you can take with you everywhere or a larger breed you can lay with on the couch? Of all the purebred puppies to choose from, none are quite like the English bulldog. Their sourmug face might not be for everyone, but if your ideal version of man's best friend is a snorty, stocky ball of wrinkles that loves to lounge, a bulldog could be perfect for you.

Bulldogs are beloved for their unique looks and charming personalities. They have strong reputations for being loyal companions, making them incredibly popular for families and individuals alike. There's just something about their squishy face and bowling ball body that makes you want to love and cuddle them forever. Unfortunately, finding a purebred English bulldog from your local shelter is like searching for a needle in a haystack. When you factor in the fact that many English bulldog breeders are less-than-reputable, finding the right bulldog puppies for adoption in Corpus Christi, TX can be challenging.

If you've been searching high and low for purebred English bulldog puppies from a responsible breeder, don't give up hope. Your search may be coming to an end sooner than you think with the help of IrresistiBulls.

While our dogs come from champion lines, they're perfect for families, provide unconditional love, and will probably be your new dinner bell, too.

Trial

It's Science, Not Trial and Error

Our cherished bulldog, Bruiser, was a unique boy. He stood out from other dogs. Like Bruiser, IrresistiBulls stands out from other breeders because we base our breeding practices on science and careful consideration.

Our goal isn't just about selling English bulldog puppies. It's to ensure that every puppy we breed excels in health, temperament, intelligence, and obedience. We don't rely on trial and error, which often yields more errors than successes. Extensive research underpins our methods to guarantee the best possible outcomes. Our dedication extends not only to the families welcoming our puppies into their homes but also to the well-being and quality of life of the puppies themselves. That's the IrresistiBulls difference.

Sire

Sire and Dams Bred for Excellence

When it comes to longevity, health, temperament, and intelligence, it all starts with the dam and sire. That's why our English bulldog sires and dams are carefully selected for their excellence, champion bloodlines, and genetic traits. We're not your run-of-the-mill English bulldog breeders in South Carolina; we've perfected our method. We genuinely care and view every puppy we bring into the world as a part of our extended family. Each one of our dogs is truly the "cream of the crop," guaranteed to pass on greatness to their offspring.

Breeding any dog, especially English bulldogs, poses health concerns. We make every effort to breed English bulldogs with the desirable genetic traits while working to eliminate those that could result in health problems. The key is to avoid breeding puppies that are closely related and could potentially have genetic abnormalities.

Unfortunately, some breeders are either irresponsible or lack an understanding of the complexities involved in producing healthy English bulldog lines. We only breed dogs with the best-quality lineages and never take unnecessary risks by breeding dogs with overly similar ancestry. This approach safeguards not only our business but also the well-being of the puppies and the families who welcome them into their homes.

However, bringing a bulldog puppy home necessitates careful forethought and organization to guarantee a seamless adjustment for both you and your new furry pal. Keep these essential tips in mind when it's time to bring your bulldog puppy to your den.

Safe Space

Create a Safe Space

Choose a cozy and secure spot in your home for your bulldog puppy to relax and feel at ease. You might want to opt for a crate or a puppy playpen to create a snug and den-like space for them.

Supplies

Stock Up on Supplies

Gather essential supplies such as water and food, nutritious and high-quality puppy food, a leash and a collar, bedding, chew toys, and grooming items. If you're worried about overdoing it, don't fret. It's better to be overprepared and have extra than to be underprepared and need more supplies.

Puppy-Proof

Puppy-Proof Your Property

It's important to get your home ready for your new bulldog puppies before they arrive. English bulldog pups are inquisitive by nature and love to play, so expect some high-energy bonding early on. Clear away any small objects that could be swallowed, hide electrical cords, and remove any toxic plants to keep them safe.

Settling

Settling In After the First Few Days

During the initial days following the arrival of your bulldog puppy, it's essential to focus on establishing a nurturing environment and a consistent routine to build a strong bond. Here are some helpful tips to help your puppy settle in smoothly.

Routine

Get a Routine Going ASAP

If there's one thing bulldogs thrive on (besides nutritious, yummy food), it's a routine. After you've been with your new bulldog puppy for a few days, try creating a schedule. Plan out time for eating, bathroom breaks, training, and playing. We should note that it's important to create a schedule that can be incorporated into your family's routine. You don't need to rearrange your life, but you will need to cater to your new doggo to an extent.

Remain Calm

Try to Remain Calm and Patient

If you had to move to a new home when you were very young, you probably have an idea how a bulldog puppy would feel, too. It can be overwhelming - not just for your bulldog, but for you too. That's why you should try to be as patient and calm as possible while your new addition gets acclimated to their new surroundings.

Whether you're an experienced dog owner or a newcomer, bringing your puppy into their new home should be nothing but a joyful occasion. At IrresistiBulls, we're happy to help make sure you don't go home in a tizzy. That way, you can focus on spending time with your bulldog puppy and creating a loving home from day one.

Top 5 Reasons to Consider English Bulldog Puppies for Sale in Corpus Christi, TX

Bulldogs are undeniably one of the most adored dog breeds in the world. Their wrinkled faces, stocky bods, and fun personalities have endeared them to dog lovers everywhere. Have you ever met an English bulldog owner who didn't love their pup? We haven't. If you're still on the fence about buying a bulldog puppy for you or your family, you may want to re-think that stance after reading these reasons.

Playful Bulldog Images Corpus Christi, TX

Generally speaking, bulldogs are great pets for kids. That's because they're incredibly calm, fiercely devoted, and, well, lazy. A screaming, tugging child doesn't faze them. They'll even let little ones dress them in cowboy hats and tutus without batting an eye.

 Family-friendly Bulldogs Corpus Christi, TX

Owning a bulldog means there's rarely a dull moment in your home. Whether they're snoring so loud it puts your sleep apnea to shame or interrupting your thoughts with a little flatulence, English bulldogs will make you smile even if you're in a bad mood.

Make no mistake - bulldogs must get exercise to remain healthy. However, when given the choice, many bulldogs would rather curl up on the couch with you than go for a multi-mile run.

If you think breeds like border collies get all the credit for being smart, think again. Have you ever seen a border collie ride a skateboard or surf a wave? Probably not - but bulldogs are known for such feats. That's due in part to their low center of gravity, but it's mostly because bulldogs are so cool.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — After weeks of emotional public testimony and eight community listening sessions, trustees voted Tuesday night to approve a plan that will close seven schools across the district.

The plan calls for the closure of Fannin, Kostoryz, Sanders and Travis elementary schools, along with Browne, Haas and Martin middle schools.

Superintendent Dr. Roland Hernandez acknowledged the impact of the decision ahead of the vote.

“We fully recognize and understand these decisions are not easy, the toll it takes on community, students, administrators,” Hernandez said.

Before the final vote, trustees made several attempts to amend the plan. Trustee Marty Bell proposed voting on each school individually, but the motion failed. Trustee Alice Upshaw Hawkins also proposed removing Travis Elementary from the closure list, which failed as well.

“There’s going to be a lot of angst tonight and probably for years to come,” Hawkins said during the discussion.

Other trustees framed the decision as necessary, citing long-term financial responsibility as the district faces a projected $27 million budget deficit.

“I don’t want future boards to look at this and say, ‘Wow — how did we get here? so, part of that is making some really tough decisions." trustee Steve Barrera said.

In the end, trustees approved the plan on a 4-3 vote.

District leaders emphasized the closures will not happen overnight. Transition plans for students, staff and transportation are expected to be developed in the coming months ahead of the next school year.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — For the first time in Corpus Christi history, a legally carried handgun was brought into a City Council meeting.

The moment came after the city removed its no guns allowed signs, following an enforcement letter from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. The ruling requires cities to allow licensed gun owners to carry handguns into public meetings including City Council chambers.

Open carry advocate Matthew Rankin wasted no time testing the change.

Rankin entered Tuesday night’s City Council meeting wearing a .45-caliber handgun in a holster on his hip becoming the first person to legally carry a firearm inside the chamber.

“Corpus has now had the pleasure of being the first ones to get an enforcement letter from Ken Paxton telling them to allow carry and take your signs down or else,” Rankin said.

Rankin argues the law has allowed licensed carry in government meetings for years, but says cities relied on outdated language to block it.

“They deleted that part so TML couldn’t say it’s there is a gray area anymore,” he said, referring to the Texas Municipal League.

Under the Attorney General’s ruling, anyone with a valid handgun license from Texas or another state can carry a handgun into a City Council meeting, either openly or concealed. Long guns, such as rifles, are still prohibited.

City Manager Peter Zanoni says the city had no choice but to comply.

“If you are a licensed gun operator, you can now, based on the Attorney General’s opinion, come into City Council when a meeting is going on,” Zanoni said.

Still, he acknowledged the sight of a firearm inside City Hall can make people uncomfortable.

“When you see someone come in who is not a peace officer that has a gun, that can raise concern,” Zanoni said.

In response, the city says it's security that are in place such as metal detectors at 2 different checkpoints remain. But, security officers will now be asking folks if they are heading to a public meeting, do they have a weapon and if they do they'll have to produce their license to carry.

“We are putting safeguards in place to reduce risk,” Zanoni said.

As for Rankin, he says this is only the beginning.

“I just love the Second Amendment and the First Amendment, and in Texas, I get to practice both everywhere,” he said.

Rankin tells 3 News his next goal is pushing to allow licensed gun owners into more areas of the county courthouse.

It was a total team effort Friday night for Xavier, as 11 players scored in an 88-67 home win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in Cincinnati.

Jovan Milicevic, despite picking up four fouls in a limited 17 minutes of action, led the Musketeers (5-3) in scoring with 14 points. He also led the Musketeers with four 3-pointers.

Milicevic was one of four double-digit scorers for Xavier, joined by Filip Borovicanin (10 points), Tre Carroll (11 points) and Anthony Robinson (12 points).

Borovicanin was a beast on the glass, muscling his way to 15 rebounds to lead the Musketeers. Robinson added four offensive rebounds, and the Musketeers finished with eight second-chance points.

The Musketeers were hot from beyond the arc again Friday night, making 12 of 28 3-point attempts.

Xavier also moved the ball around and took advantage of 10 Texas A&M-Corpus Christi turnovers, dishing out 26 assists to just five turnovers and scoring 28 fastbreak points.

The Islanders (2-5) stayed in the game through the first half and into the second with a methodical approach and high-percentage shots.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi trailed 43-33 at halftime, but remained in the game, having dished out nine assists with 14 made field goals and only attempting six 3-pointers. They made just 4 of 15 from deep on the night.

D’Avian Houston led the Islanders with 13 points, while tying with Kam Parker and Cenker Ervan for the team lead with three assists. The Islanders notched 19 assists overall.

Xavier’s offense got into a rhythm midway through the first half, taking the lead for good, 11-10, at the 12:55 mark with a transition 3-pointer by Isaiah Walker.

The Musketeers carried their offensive momentum from the Charleston Classic into Friday night’s game, dishing out 12 assists and knocking down eight 3-pointers in the half. Malik Messina-Moore had five of the Musketeers’ assists, while seven different players knocked down a 3-pointer.

Messina-Moore and Borovicanin each had five assists for Xavier overall, while eight different players knocked down a 3-pointer for the Musketeers.

It is 29 degrees and snowing here. The wind is blowing so hard that the surface level on the western end of Lake Erie has dropped five feet. Within the next couple of days, we could get nearly a foot of snow. Here is what it looks like in Corpus Christi:

You get the point. It’s nice there. Corpus Christi is even south of Galveston and is not likely to see much snow this week. I don’t know if there is a home weather environment in college basketball, but if there ever has been, it could be in this game. It may not be as bad in Cincy as in NE Ohio come Friday, but I’m guessing the Islanders won’t feel right at home.

They’ll step off the plane with a 0-4 record in D1 games. They beat D3 Trinity by 27, then beat another D3, Howard Payne, by 47. There is a reason Xavier doesn’t play D3 games. Some teams are very good and feature one or two guys good enough to play rotation minutes at a D1. Others are Trinity and Howard Payne. To TAMCC’s credit, they haven’t embarrassed themselves against D1 competition, losing close(ish) games to SMU and Tarleton St before dropping buy games at Kansas and Oklahoma St.

Team fingerprint

Xavier is an inexcusably bad 41% and 355th in the nation at two point shooting. They will also be the best team inside the arc in this game. The Islanders are 38.5% and 363rd. This has the potential to get hilarious. TAMCC is also awful behind the arc, shooting 27.7%. Honestly speaking, Xavier friends, these guys are wretched on offense. They rank 290th for a reason. The thing they do best is not get the ball stolen. They are 159th in the nation there.

On defense, though! Ok, they aren’t exactly peak VCU, but they’re back closer to mediocre. They turn teams over at almost the exact same rate that Xavier does. They defend the arc decently, and try to limit opponents looks there. They don’t necessarily succeed at that, but they do try.

Players

Starting matchups
D'Avian Houston Point Guard All Wright
Senior Class Sophomore
6'2", 210 Measurements 6'3", 190
5/1.8/4.3 Game line 11.1/1.6/2
27/18.8/58.3 Shooting line 27.1/30.8/68.2
Houston has bounced around quite a bit in a college career that began at College of Charleston in the 2020-21 season. He's never been a super efficient scorer with a .400/.321/.682 shooting line in his career, but his 4.3 assists per game this season are a career best. He has struggled with turnovers some this season, which compounds the Islanders problems at the offensive end.
Nick Shogbonyo Shooting Guard Malik Messina-Moore
Senior Class Senior
6'1", 185 Measurements 6'5", 200
14.5/3/2 Game line 8.1/6.4/3.7
66.7/50/81.8 Shooting line 45.5/16.7/80
He has only played two games this season, and only one of them was against a DI opponent. He was the only player in double digits for TAMCC against Oklahoma State and bolstered some faily solid shooting numbers from the field with an excellent track record of getting to the line and converting last season at Denver.
Kam Parker Small Forward Tre Carroll
Senior Class Senior
6'2", 180 Measurements 6'8", 235
8.5/3.2/2 Game line 15.9/5.7/2.6
41/27.3/100 Shooting line 45.9/42.4/73.1
Parker is in his 3rd year with the program and started 29 games over the previous two seasons. His shooting has definitely picked up in his time at TAMCC and his numbers this season, while down a little overall from last year, have remained pretty steady in the 3 tier A games the Islanders have played this year. He likes to spot up or get to the bucket in equal measure, and converts well at the rim (71%) especially considering his size.
Franck Yetna Power Forward Filip Borovicanin
Senior Class Senior
6'7", 215 Measurements 6'9", 227
8.3/5.2/0.7 Game line 7/3/3.6
43.2/9.1/57.9 Shooting line 27.1/30.8/68.2
Yetna gets his hands to a lot on defense, ranking in the top 400 nationally in block rate and top 150 in steal rate, but he has struggled on offense because he's shooting 50% on 16 attempts at the rim and 17% on his 12 jumpers. He's a decent rebounder on the offensive galss, but not on the defensive end.
Sheldon Williams Center Jovan Milicevic
Senior Class Sophomore
6'8", 220 Measurements 6'10", 241
13.5/7.7/1.2 Game line 12.7/2.9/2.9
49.3/44.4/56.3 Shooting line 34.2/31.3/78.4
Williams is shooting essentially the same percentage from three as he is at the rim this season, but there's no denying that he gets after the glass at both ends. He posted a 14 point 17 rebound double-double against SMU, but his 5-15 shooting line and turnover and foul trouble soured that particular line a bit. Xavier has struggled to stop big men this year, and Williams is the biggest guy in the Islanders' rotation, so slowing him down will be a key.

Reserves

The Islanders get a decent amount of minute from their bench and can bring in a couple of solid producers when the starters need spelled. First and foremost is Mason Gibson, a guard who is 3rd on the team in scoring at 10.7 ppg. He is shooting 43% from deep this year and hardly ever turns the ball over, but is just 8-23 inside the arc and 3-8 from the line currently. Daniel Michelini-Jackson missed last game, but has started three games and averages 23 mpg. He’s a guard who doesn’t score a lot, but does solid work on the boards and is second on the team in assists, with a 13:4 A:TO on the year. Leo Torbor is a bit of a rarity in today’s game as a 6’3” guard who has attempted just 5 three pointers in his 46 games of DI basketball. He shoots 50% from inside the arc, although that figure drops to 36% against DI opponents, and currently has more turnovers than assists. Kobi Pearson is a 6’8” freshman who slots in at the forward spots who missed the first two games of the season, but has shown some promising signs since joining the rotation. His EFG% is 69% on a .625/.667/.521 line, but he’s also done some true freshman things like turning the ball over a ton and committing 7.7 fouls per 40 minutes. When Pearson isn’t out there splashing shots and slapping people, Jaden Haire is the other big man off the bench. He rebounds well, especially at the defensive end, but is shooting 2-12 from the floor against DI competition and turns the ball over a lot, which drags his ORTG down to 53.3.

Three questions

- Will Xavier bother going inside? Make no mistake, Xavier isn’t good inside the arc. However, TAMCC doesn’t defend well inside. They’re 276th in the nation in interior defense. Maybe some inside Borovicanin? Maybe this is the game where Anthony Robinson can finally do something?

- Failing that, can Xavier stay hot from deep? TAMCC isn’t particularly good at defending the arc, but they’re alright at it. Right now, X is absolutely on fire from deep, shooting 46.2% on 93 attempts over the last three games. Keep that up and they become the best three point shooting team ever. That’s maybe not in the cards, but right now X has found an edge.

- Can X just bury a buy game? Marist and Le Moyne were way too close. Santa Clara, it turns out, is 57th in the NET and not half bad. Doing what the Musketeers did to ODU would be a nice way to close Black Friday.
