If your child is 6 years old or younger, you can stop by Fidgets Indoor Playground & Party Place, located right outside of Southern Highlands in Las Vegas. This is a family-owned indoor playground offering a safe and clean place for your little ones to play. Their facility has play structures, toys, and activities that cater to the minds of young children.
There is a soft multi-level play structure, a ride-on train, a ball pit, activity tables, and tons and tons of toys. There is also a crawling area if your little one is learning how to walk or crawl. Bring the kids to Fidgets Indoor Playground and let them explore and learn while having fun!

Southern Highlands in Las Vegas has seven beautiful parks with covered play areas, walking trails, and your kid’s favorite, splash pads! The heat is here to stay for a couple more months so grab the sunscreen and try out a splash pad. Below are a few of our favorite splash pads located in Southern Highlands.

This gorgeous well maintained park has three massive fields for soccer, baseball, or open play, covered playgrounds, basketball courts, picnic areas, and a fantastic splash pad. The splash pad has both large and small water sprayers for all ages. The water can be activated by the button on the little orange pole.
We always recommend water shoes for safe play. Beat the heat and get your kiddos out of the house, it’s a win-win! The beautiful views of the surrounding hills at this park can not be beaten!

Goett Family Park is a neighborhood favorite with a very large and unique splash pad. During the Summer you can always find families hanging out while their kids enjoy the cool water, fun water sprayers and massive water tipper. The grass area around the splash pad is nice and convenient for parents to lay out a blanket or sit on a lawn chair.
This park also has a covered playground, basketball courts, lots of shaded areas, and a very large parking lot.

Somerset Hills Park is the largest park in Southern Highlands in Las Vegas. The park spans 6 acres across Southern Highlands and includes everything you need to keep your family entertained. Somerset Hills has well-maintained open grass areas, tennis courts, shaded gazebos with barbecues, tons of walking trails, and a splash pad.

Southern Highlands in Las Vegas is conveniently located near two libraries that host story time. Story time is a great activity for children of all ages as it sparks your child’s imagination and stimulates curiosity. Story time also helps develop early literacy skills, the ability to focus, social skills, and communication skills.

Hours: Monday – Thursday from 10am – 8pm, Friday – Sunday from 10am – 6pm
Southern Highlands in Las Vegas is a smaller community and unfortunately does not have any libraries within its parameters, but the Enterprise Library is only 4 to 5 miles away from the community depending on your exact location. This library offers various story times based on the age of your child. Children can be accompanied by a caregiver or parent.

The Windmill Library is located off of Rainbow Boulevard about 5 to 6 miles from Southern Highlands. This library offers the same story time sessions (Baby Story time, Toddler Time and Family Story time) as the Enterprise Library, but they do have a few different ones as well. All story time sessions at the Enterprise and Windmill Library are about 30 minutes long, with the exception of Zen Story time that is 1 hour long. Seats are limited and tickets are handed out 30 minutes before story time begins. Find a full schedule of story times for both libraries here.
