When it comes to buying purebred puppies, there are a lot of breeds and questions to consider. Do you want an outdoor pup or one that spends its time indoors? Are you looking for a tiny dog you can take with you everywhere or a larger breed you can lay with on the couch? Of all the purebred puppies to choose from, none are quite like the English bulldog. Their sourmug face might not be for everyone, but if your ideal version of man's best friend is a snorty, stocky ball of wrinkles that loves to lounge, a bulldog could be perfect for you.
Bulldogs are beloved for their unique looks and charming personalities. They have strong reputations for being loyal companions, making them incredibly popular for families and individuals alike. There's just something about their squishy face and bowling ball body that makes you want to love and cuddle them forever. Unfortunately, finding a purebred English bulldog from your local shelter is like searching for a needle in a haystack. When you factor in the fact that many English bulldog breeders are less-than-reputable, finding the right bulldog puppies for adoption in Lansing, MI can be challenging.
If you've been searching high and low for purebred English bulldog puppies from a responsible breeder, don't give up hope. Your search may be coming to an end sooner than you think with the help of IrresistiBulls.
IrresistiBulls was born out of love for the English bulldog who first graced our world, Bruiser. It became our mission to spread the joy he afforded us to families around the nation. We pride ourselves on being more than just breeders; we're a lifelong support system for our families. Unlike many competitors, we stay in touch with each family that purchases from us. We make it a point to offer expert tips and tricks for any challenges that may arise, which can help save you time, money, and a trip to the vet.
At IrresistiBulls, breeding English bulldogs isn't just a career choice. It's a passion. When you welcome a bulldog pup from our program into your home, you're not just getting any dog - you're gaining a remarkable English bulldog with a documented lineage of health, intelligence, and obedience - as well as all the hallmark traits that make English bulldogs beloved. While our dogs come from champion lines, they're perfect for families, provide unconditional love, and will probably be your new dinner bell, too.
Our cherished bulldog, Bruiser, was a unique boy. He stood out from other dogs. Like Bruiser, IrresistiBulls stands out from other breeders because we base our breeding practices on science and careful consideration.
Our goal isn't just about selling English bulldog puppies. It's to ensure that every puppy we breed excels in health, temperament, intelligence, and obedience. We don't rely on trial and error, which often yields more errors than successes. Extensive research underpins our methods to guarantee the best possible outcomes. Our dedication extends not only to the families welcoming our puppies into their homes but also to the well-being and quality of life of the puppies themselves. That's the IrresistiBulls difference.
When it comes to longevity, health, temperament, and intelligence, it all starts with the dam and sire. That's why our English bulldog sires and dams are carefully selected for their excellence, champion bloodlines, and genetic traits. We're not your run-of-the-mill English bulldog breeders in South Carolina; we've perfected our method. We genuinely care and view every puppy we bring into the world as a part of our extended family. Each one of our dogs is truly the "cream of the crop," guaranteed to pass on greatness to their offspring.
Simply put, we truly care about our bulldogs and the families that build cherished memories with them. We're incredibly thankful to have worked with so many amazing clients who trust our process and value our commitment to the health and wellness of our bulldog pups. Our wonderful clients recommend their friends and family members to IrresistiBulls because we prioritize:
When you buy from IrresistiBulls, you can rest easy knowing you're getting the best of the best. We take pride in ethically breeding our puppies by using champion bloodlines from different parts of the world. By doing this, we reduce the chances of our puppies inheriting common health issues that can affect English bulldogs. Our puppies come from well-regarded show dog ancestry from countries like Ukraine, Spain, and Russia, to name a few.
We meticulously breed for highly coveted traits and take proactive measures to limit traits that can lead to health conditions in your puppy. Our efforts have successfully eliminated issues such as corkscrew tails and narrow nares, ensuring a worry-free experience for our puppies and their new families.
Breeding any dog, especially English bulldogs, poses health concerns. We make every effort to breed English bulldogs with the desirable genetic traits while working to eliminate those that could result in health problems. The key is to avoid breeding puppies that are closely related and could potentially have genetic abnormalities.
Unfortunately, some breeders are either irresponsible or lack an understanding of the complexities involved in producing healthy English bulldog lines. We only breed dogs with the best-quality lineages and never take unnecessary risks by breeding dogs with overly similar ancestry. This approach safeguards not only our business but also the well-being of the puppies and the families who welcome them into their homes.
When you bring one of our puppies for sale into your home, you become a permanent part of our extended family.
Our IrresistiBulls are usually reserved before the litter is even born. Securing a spot on our reservation list is essential once we confirm a pregnancy. While we strive to honor all reservations, sometimes we have to leave it to nature, so there are no guarantees regarding litter arrivals and viability. However, once you've reserved your new English bulldog puppy, we'll keep you informed every step of the way. As English bulldog lovers, we understand your excitement about welcoming a new addition to your family. That's why we do our best to minimize the uncertainties and challenges that can arise during the breeding process.

Buying English bulldog puppies for sale in Lansing, MI is a joyful and exciting experience. Whether you're a single pup parent or have a family with children, you'll love your new bulldogs' affectionate, loyal nature and will laugh out loud at their quirky attitude. However, bringing a bulldog puppy home necessitates careful forethought and organization to guarantee a seamless adjustment for both you and your new furry pal. Keep these essential tips in mind when it's time to bring your bulldog puppy to your den.
Choose a cozy and secure spot in your home for your bulldog puppy to relax and feel at ease. You might want to opt for a crate or a puppy playpen to create a snug and den-like space for them.
Gather essential supplies such as water and food, nutritious and high-quality puppy food, a leash and a collar, bedding, chew toys, and grooming items. If you're worried about overdoing it, don't fret. It's better to be overprepared and have extra than to be underprepared and need more supplies.
It's important to get your home ready for your new bulldog puppies before they arrive. English bulldog pups are inquisitive by nature and love to play, so expect some high-energy bonding early on. Clear away any small objects that could be swallowed, hide electrical cords, and remove any toxic plants to keep them safe.
Bulldog puppies for adoption in Lansing, MI from IrresistiBulls arrive at your home having had all the proper shots and worming medicines required. However, you should already have a follow-up visit scheduled with your vet before your new family member arrives. Doing so will help you and your vet get on the same page regarding deworming, vaccinations, and preventative healthcare plans.
In the first few days, weeks, and sometimes months, it can be challenging to adjust to having a new puppy at home. Puppies are quite complex, and just like with any newborn, having reliable guidance and essential tools isn't just a luxury - it alleviates stress and makes the process of welcoming and training the puppy much smoother. At IrresistiBulls, we offer a puppy starter kit to provide you with the necessary information on puppy care, the resources you may require along the way, and, of course, an assortment of toys to enrich the bonding experience with your new furry friend.
During the initial days following the arrival of your bulldog puppy, it's essential to focus on establishing a nurturing environment and a consistent routine to build a strong bond. Here are some helpful tips to help your puppy settle in smoothly.
If there's one thing bulldogs thrive on (besides nutritious, yummy food), it's a routine. After you've been with your new bulldog puppy for a few days, try creating a schedule. Plan out time for eating, bathroom breaks, training, and playing. We should note that it's important to create a schedule that can be incorporated into your family's routine. You don't need to rearrange your life, but you will need to cater to your new doggo to an extent.
If you had to move to a new home when you were very young, you probably have an idea how a bulldog puppy would feel, too. It can be overwhelming - not just for your bulldog, but for you too. That's why you should try to be as patient and calm as possible while your new addition gets acclimated to their new surroundings.
Whether you're an experienced dog owner or a newcomer, bringing your puppy into their new home should be nothing but a joyful occasion. At IrresistiBulls, we're happy to help make sure you don't go home in a tizzy. That way, you can focus on spending time with your bulldog puppy and creating a loving home from day one.
Bulldogs are undeniably one of the most adored dog breeds in the world. Their wrinkled faces, stocky bods, and fun personalities have endeared them to dog lovers everywhere. Have you ever met an English bulldog owner who didn't love their pup? We haven't. If you're still on the fence about buying a bulldog puppy for you or your family, you may want to re-think that stance after reading these reasons.
Like, seriously adorable. The wrinkles. The jowls. The saggy eyes. Bulldogs epitomize "Aww, how cute!" especially when they're young. There's just something about grabbing a big wrinkly head and planting a huge kiss right in the middle.
Generally speaking, bulldogs are great pets for kids. That's because they're incredibly calm, fiercely devoted, and, well, lazy. A screaming, tugging child doesn't faze them. They'll even let little ones dress them in cowboy hats and tutus without batting an eye.
Owning a bulldog means there's rarely a dull moment in your home. Whether they're snoring so loud it puts your sleep apnea to shame or interrupting your thoughts with a little flatulence, English bulldogs will make you smile even if you're in a bad mood.
Make no mistake - bulldogs must get exercise to remain healthy. However, when given the choice, many bulldogs would rather curl up on the couch with you than go for a multi-mile run.
If you think breeds like border collies get all the credit for being smart, think again. Have you ever seen a border collie ride a skateboard or surf a wave? Probably not - but bulldogs are known for such feats. That's due in part to their low center of gravity, but it's mostly because bulldogs are so cool.
When you trust IrresistiBulls as your bulldog puppy breeder, we believe it's our privilege and duty to provide you with a healthy, happy dog. Every English bulldog we ship in the U.S. is both a part of our beloved Bruiser and also a new part of your family's heart. At the end of the day, our goal is for you to discover your new companion, family mascot, or hot mess without having to worry about shady practices or inconvenient logistics.
We know you'll fall in love as soon as you lay eyes on your new IrresistiBull, just like we did when Bruiser blessed our lives. Contact our office today to learn more about what separates us from other breeders and how we can make your English bulldog ownership dreams come true.

This story has been updated with new information.
Even as thousands of Michiganders were waiting Saturday morning, Dec. 26, for their power to be restored from a Friday ice storm, the National Weather Service was predicting another winter storm for late Sunday through Tuesday, Dec. 29-31.
"An impactful storm system will move into Michigan Sunday into early next week, with accumulating snow, strong winds, and blowing snow," the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids said on Facebook. "The best chances for heavy snow will be across the Upper Peninsula, and the snow belts of lower Michigan.
"Rain will likely mix in for portions of lower Michigan during the day on Sunday before transitioning to snow during the Sunday night into Monday time frame. There is still uncertainty in snow amounts and the intensity of the storm system, so be sure to check back for updates!" the weather service added.
A winter storm watch early Saturday was upgraded to a blizzard warning and winter storm warning for the Upper Peninsula. Storm warnings and watches were in effect for the Great Lakes and a winter weather advisory was issued in the northern Lower Peninsula.
In addition, a winter storm watch was in effect for the entire length of Lake Michigan and a high wind watch was in effect from central Michigan and the thumb to southeast Michigan.
The National Weather Service Climate Prediction Center called the system a "strong, multi-hazard winter storm" and said it will deliver heavy snow and whiteout conditions, hazardous ice, strong winds and dangerously cold wind chills.
"A powerful winter storm will affect the Upper Midwest, Great Lakes, and Northeast Sunday through Tuesday with heavy snow, blowing snow, and hazardous icing," the weather service said.
Saturday morning, more than 28,000 electric customers in Michigan were without power after a Friday ice storm left behind a tenth of an inch of ice in place. Outages had totaled about 50,000 Friday afternoon.
On Saturday morning, the NWS office in Detroit said the system will bring much colder air and windy conditions by Monday.
"A rapidly intensifying low pressure system is forecast to cross the Great Lakes Sunday into Monday," the NWS said.
The weather service said winds will be sustained at 20 to 30 mph and could gust as high as 55 mph.
"Scattered power outages possible," the NWS warned. "Flash freezing on paved surfaces possible."
In northern Michigan, the Gaylord NWS office said the storm will be most intense on Monday.
A complex winter system has potential to bring significant impacts Sunday thru Tuesday. Of particular concern is the Sunday night — Monday night period, when significant snowfall overlaps a period of very strong winds," the NWS said on X on Dec. 27.
The Gaylord and Marquette NWS offices said snowbelt areas should anticipate more than 12 inches of snow. Strong winds will lead to blowing and drifting as temperatures "plummet."
The Gaylord office said areas in northern Michigan should expect freezing rain Sunday morning, turning to rain until evening.
After midnight on Monday, the storm will turn to snow, which will be heavy at times, and snow will continue into Tuesday.
"The worst conditions are expected Sunday into Monday morning, when the combination of heavy snow and high winds could make travel very difficult to impossible," the Marquette office said.
Here's a look at the current radar and National Weather Service advisories, and where snow will fall.
According to the National Weather Service Probabilistic Precipitation Portal, the following are "expected" snowfall amounts by Tuesday morning:
A winter storm watch, calls for the potential for heavy snow or significant ice accumulations, usually at least 24 to 36 hours in advance, the weather service said.
Watches are issued when there is a 50% or greater chance of bad weather, and released to give people enough time to set safety plans in motion beforehand.

LANSING, MI -- A lucky player in Michigan won a $1 million prize in the Powerball drawing held on Saturday, Dec. 13. The winner matched all five white numbers drawn -- 1-28-31-57-58 -- to win the prize.
Had the player also matched the red Powerball number -- which was 16 -- they would have won the $1.059 billion jackpot.
The winning ticket was sold at the Court Street Party Market, located at 1101 Court St, Cheboygan, Mich. The winner has one year from the drawing date to come forward and claim the prize.
The prize must be claimed at the Michigan Lottery headquarters in Lansing. The winner is asked to contact the Michigan Lottery’s Player Relations division at 1-844-917-6325 to schedule an appointment to collect their winnings.
While the player in Michigan won a huge prize, no one won the $1.059 billion jackpot. That means the drawing on Monday, Dec. 15 will be worth $1.1 billion, the sixth largest prize in Powerball history.
For the latest on Michigan Lottery, check out the official Michigan Lottery site, which also offers more information on instant tickets, raffles and other lottery games.
The last players from Michigan to win a Mega Millions or Powerball jackpot is the Breakfast Club lottery club which claimed an $842 million jackpot in June 2024. The members plan to use the money to buy a home in Florida and travel.
And while they were lucky winners, it’s smart for players to check their tickets immediately as a Powerball winner worth $250,000 sold in Bloomfield Hills in 2024 went unclaimed. That money went to the state’s School Aid Fund.

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - The city of Lansing will not renew the contract of Lansing Fire Chief Brian Sturdivant at the end of the year.
The news comes in the midst of a lawsuit against the city and fire department alleging Sturdivant violated the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act in asking two male firefighters to make sure a female firefighter was wearing a bra.
“Mayor Schor has notified the City Council and Fire Board of Commissioners that he has named Carrie Edwards-Clemons as the Interim Fire Chief effective immediately and she will remain in the role until a permanent Fire Chief is appointed,” city officials said in a statement to News 10 Friday afternoon.
“While we do not comment on details of personnel matters, Brian Sturdivant’s contract, which ends on December 31, is not being renewed. We thank him for his service to the City of Lansing.”
The city did not say whether the change is a direct result of the lawsuit.
The lawsuit was filed last month in Ingham County Circuit Court on behalf of Cecilia Major, who began working for the department as a paramedic/firefighter in 2021, according to the lawsuit. Both city officials and Major’s attorneys say the city has not yet filed a response to the lawsuit.
As part of her job duties, Major works 24-hour shifts at a firehouse in Lansing, where she also sleeps and eats. She is the only woman assigned to that firehouse, according to the lawsuit.
This June, Major was told to report to Assistant Chief Carrie Edwards-Clemons’ office, where she was told that she had been given an order by Sturdivant to hold a meeting “as to why she was not wearing a bra at all times while at work,” the lawsuit says.
Major “had never been informed previously that there were issues surrounding her choice not to wear a bra,” the lawsuit claims. During her meeting with Edwards-Clemons, the lawsuit says Major “raised several issues” with the assistant chief, including her concerns that she “was being targeted and/or singled out and that it was discriminatory.”
She also raised concerns that “her appearance, rather than her ability to do her job, was the subject of the City of Lansing’s attention.”
“Ms. Major inquired whether there had been complaints and inquired whether she was in violation of a policy, or whether the policy had changed to require that she wear a bra, as neither the fire department nor the City had a policy that required a bra, or any undergarments, be worn,” the lawsuit says.
She also discussed the possibility that the fire department provide high-impact bras as part of their uniforms and add feminine hygiene stations to the women’s restrooms. Edwards-Clemons did not have answers to those questions, according to the lawsuit.
After that meeting, the assistant chief told Sturdivant that Major had several questions and felt she was being discriminated against. Three days later, Major emailed Edwards-Clemons, requesting the names and emails for her human resources representatives so she could address her concerns, but she did not receive those contacts, according to the lawsuit.
Instead, Edwards-Clemons told her two more days later that she was directed by Sturdivant to “inform her that all correspondence, requests and questions should only be directed to his office, effectively discouraging her from going to human resources with her concerns,” the lawsuit says.
The lawsuit says Sturdivant called a meeting with Major on June 24, Edwards-Clemons, Battalion Chief Clevenger and Captain Donovan. Ahead of that meeting, Major “expressed frustration” that a meeting was being called over her decision not to wear a bra at all times.
Major chose to have her union steward accompany her to the June 24 meeting, which “further angered Sturdivant,” according to the lawsuit. Sturdivant told the union steward that he didn’t have the authority to speak during the meeting and that he was not invited, the lawsuit says.
During the meeting, Sturdivant allegedly asked Major whether she was wearing a bra and said it was “improper” for her not to wear a bra, even though the department’s policy does not mention a bra or any undergarments, according to the lawsuit.
The lawsuit says Major was “threatened with insubordination” and told several times when she tried to ask questions about the policy or share her reasoning for not wearing a bra that she was being insubordinate.
At the end of the meeting, Major asked why not wearing an issue and Sturdivant replied “because I deem it so,” the lawsuit says.
The lawsuit goes on to say the meeting ended with Sturdivant “issuing two direct orders from the Office of the Fire Chief”:
Major says she left that meeting “feeling attacked, traumatized and discriminated against.”
The lawsuit claims that when Major went to the city of Lansing, officials “found that the policies and interpretations of those policies needed to be updated, but did nothing to investigate her claims of discrimination after the two meetings.”
Speaking to News 10, attorney Hannah Fielstra says Major was “singled out” by the chief in calling the meetings.
“This is a fairly egregious and straightforward instance of discrimination and the fallout from that,” Fielstra said.
Firefighters’ union reacts to lawsuit
Lansing Professional Firefighters Local 421, the union that represents the department, released a statement saying they “[stand] firmly and unapologetically” with Major.
Speaking with News 10, union president Brad Jorae said the union is taking the matter seriously.
“When this member stepped forward, and these allegations were made and the lawsuit was filed, we were taken aback by this,” Jorae said.
Jorae said he believes this is an opportunity for the city to make “much needed changes.”
“We want to see accountability and better communication, and a commitment to a culture where every firefighter feels safe, valued and supported. That’s what we’re fighting for,” Jorae said.
Read the union’s full statement below:
“Lansing Professional Firefighters Local 421 stands firmly and unapologetically with our member who has filed a lawsuit against Fire Chief Brian Sturdivant for the discriminatory and inappropriate treatment she experienced in the workplace.
“The behavior described in the lawsuit is unacceptable, unprofessional, and will not be tolerated. Our members deserve a workplace grounded in dignity, respect, and fairness — not one where they are subjected to invasive, inappropriate, or discriminatory actions from anyone in a leadership position.
“The lack of leadership displayed by the Fire Chief should never reflect on the men and women of the Lansing Fire Department, who show up every single day to protect this community. Our members remain committed to the highest standards of professionalism, compassion, and service. They continue to respond, to serve, and to safeguard the citizens of Lansing regardless of the challenges created above them.
“To our member: your courage in stepping forward is recognized and supported. Local 421 stands beside you — today, tomorrow, and for as long as it takes."
The union released a further statement Friday evening after the news broke:
