English Bulldog Puppies for Sale in New Braunfels, TX

When it comes to buying purebred puppies, there are a lot of breeds and questions to consider. Do you want an outdoor pup or one that spends its time indoors? Are you looking for a tiny dog you can take with you everywhere or a larger breed you can lay with on the couch? Of all the purebred puppies to choose from, none are quite like the English bulldog. Their sourmug face might not be for everyone, but if your ideal version of man's best friend is a snorty, stocky ball of wrinkles that loves to lounge, a bulldog could be perfect for you.

Bulldogs are beloved for their unique looks and charming personalities. They have strong reputations for being loyal companions, making them incredibly popular for families and individuals alike. There's just something about their squishy face and bowling ball body that makes you want to love and cuddle them forever. Unfortunately, finding a purebred English bulldog from your local shelter is like searching for a needle in a haystack. When you factor in the fact that many English bulldog breeders are less-than-reputable, finding the right bulldog puppies for adoption in New Braunfels, TX can be challenging.

If you've been searching high and low for purebred English bulldog puppies from a responsible breeder, don't give up hope. Your search may be coming to an end sooner than you think with the help of IrresistiBulls.

IrresistiBulls was born out of love for the English bulldog who first graced our world, Bruiser. It became our mission to spread the joy he afforded us to families around the nation. While our dogs come from champion lines, they're perfect for families, provide unconditional love, and will probably be your new dinner bell, too.

Trial

It's Science, Not Trial and Error

Our cherished bulldog, Bruiser, was a unique boy. He stood out from other dogs. Like Bruiser, IrresistiBulls stands out from other breeders because we base our breeding practices on science and careful consideration.

Our goal isn't just about selling English bulldog puppies. It's to ensure that every puppy we breed excels in health, temperament, intelligence, and obedience. We don't rely on trial and error, which often yields more errors than successes. Extensive research underpins our methods to guarantee the best possible outcomes. Our dedication extends not only to the families welcoming our puppies into their homes but also to the well-being and quality of life of the puppies themselves. That's the IrresistiBulls difference.

Sire

Sire and Dams Bred for Excellence

When it comes to longevity, health, temperament, and intelligence, it all starts with the dam and sire. That's why our English bulldog sires and dams are carefully selected for their excellence, champion bloodlines, and genetic traits. We're not your run-of-the-mill English bulldog breeders in South Carolina; we've perfected our method. We genuinely care and view every puppy we bring into the world as a part of our extended family. Each one of our dogs is truly the "cream of the crop," guaranteed to pass on greatness to their offspring.

Our puppies come from well-regarded show dog ancestry from countries like Ukraine, Spain, and Russia, to name a few.

Around

World-Class Bulldog Lineage from Around the World

We meticulously breed for highly coveted traits and take proactive measures to limit traits that can lead to health conditions in your puppy. Our efforts have successfully eliminated issues such as corkscrew tails and narrow nares, ensuring a worry-free experience for our puppies and their new families.

An Improved Process of Breeding Purebred English Bulldog Puppies for Sale in New Braunfels, TX

Breeding any dog, especially English bulldogs, poses health concerns. We make every effort to breed English bulldogs with the desirable genetic traits while working to eliminate those that could result in health problems. The key is to avoid breeding puppies that are closely related and could potentially have genetic abnormalities.

Unfortunately, some breeders are either irresponsible or lack an understanding of the complexities involved in producing healthy English bulldog lines. We only breed dogs with the best-quality lineages and never take unnecessary risks by breeding dogs with overly similar ancestry. This approach safeguards not only our business but also the well-being of the puppies and the families who welcome them into their homes.

Buying English bulldog puppies for sale in New Braunfels, TX is a joyful and exciting experience. Whether you're a single pup parent or have a family with children, you'll love your new bulldogs' affectionate, loyal nature and will laugh out loud at their quirky attitude. However, bringing a bulldog puppy home necessitates careful forethought and organization to guarantee a seamless adjustment for both you and your new furry pal. Keep these essential tips in mind when it's time to bring your bulldog puppy to your den.

Safe Space

Create a Safe Space

Choose a cozy and secure spot in your home for your bulldog puppy to relax and feel at ease. You might want to opt for a crate or a puppy playpen to create a snug and den-like space for them.

Supplies

Stock Up on Supplies

Gather essential supplies such as water and food, nutritious and high-quality puppy food, a leash and a collar, bedding, chew toys, and grooming items. If you're worried about overdoing it, don't fret. It's better to be overprepared and have extra than to be underprepared and need more supplies.

Puppy-Proof

Puppy-Proof Your Property

It's important to get your home ready for your new bulldog puppies before they arrive. English bulldog pups are inquisitive by nature and love to play, so expect some high-energy bonding early on. Clear away any small objects that could be swallowed, hide electrical cords, and remove any toxic plants to keep them safe.

Settling

Settling In After the First Few Days

During the initial days following the arrival of your bulldog puppy, it's essential to focus on establishing a nurturing environment and a consistent routine to build a strong bond. Here are some helpful tips to help your puppy settle in smoothly.

Routine

Get a Routine Going ASAP

If there's one thing bulldogs thrive on (besides nutritious, yummy food), it's a routine. After you've been with your new bulldog puppy for a few days, try creating a schedule. Plan out time for eating, bathroom breaks, training, and playing. We should note that it's important to create a schedule that can be incorporated into your family's routine. You don't need to rearrange your life, but you will need to cater to your new doggo to an extent.

Remain Calm

Try to Remain Calm and Patient

If you had to move to a new home when you were very young, you probably have an idea how a bulldog puppy would feel, too. It can be overwhelming - not just for your bulldog, but for you too. That's why you should try to be as patient and calm as possible while your new addition gets acclimated to their new surroundings.

Whether you're an experienced dog owner or a newcomer, bringing your puppy into their new home should be nothing but a joyful occasion. At IrresistiBulls, we're happy to help make sure you don't go home in a tizzy. That way, you can focus on spending time with your bulldog puppy and creating a loving home from day one.

Top 5 Reasons to Consider English Bulldog Puppies for Sale in New Braunfels, TX

Bulldogs are undeniably one of the most adored dog breeds in the world. Their wrinkled faces, stocky bods, and fun personalities have endeared them to dog lovers everywhere. Have you ever met an English bulldog owner who didn't love their pup? We haven't. If you're still on the fence about buying a bulldog puppy for you or your family, you may want to re-think that stance after reading these reasons.

Like, seriously adorable. The wrinkles. The jowls. The saggy eyes. Bulldogs epitomize "Aww, how cute!" especially when they're young. There's just something about grabbing a big wrinkly head and planting a huge kiss right in the middle.

Generally speaking, bulldogs are great pets for kids. That's because they're incredibly calm, fiercely devoted, and, well, lazy. A screaming, tugging child doesn't faze them. They'll even let little ones dress them in cowboy hats and tutus without batting an eye.

 Family-friendly Bulldogs New Braunfels, TX

Owning a bulldog means there's rarely a dull moment in your home. Whether they're snoring so loud it puts your sleep apnea to shame or interrupting your thoughts with a little flatulence, English bulldogs will make you smile even if you're in a bad mood.

Make no mistake - bulldogs must get exercise to remain healthy. However, when given the choice, many bulldogs would rather curl up on the couch with you than go for a multi-mile run.

English Bulldog Puppies New Braunfels, TX

If you think breeds like border collies get all the credit for being smart, think again. Have you ever seen a border collie ride a skateboard or surf a wave? Probably not - but bulldogs are known for such feats. That's due in part to their low center of gravity, but it's mostly because bulldogs are so cool.

San Antonio diners soon won’t have to drive far to experience one of Central Texas’ most talked-about burger destinations. Muck & Fuss, the chef-driven restaurant that has become a downtown New Braunfels staple, is bringing its award-winning flavors, gourmet burgers and rotating craft beer lineup to the Alamo City.

The new Northwest San Antonio location, at 2422 N. Loop 1604 West, will cover 8,812 square feet and is currently under construction as part of a $4.5 million project. Work is expected to wrap up by September 15, though the restaurant has not yet announced an official opening date, according to a news release. The expansion represents a major step for Muck & Fuss as it introduces its signature atmosphere and menu to a new Central Texas community.

"New Braunfels is just a short drive away, and bringing Muck & Fuss to the San Antonio market has always been a dream of ours," owner Terry Muckenfuss said in a statement. "San Antonio is a city rooted in family and culture, and that’s exactly what we celebrate at Muck & Fuss. We’re excited to share more details as we get closer to announcing the grand opening."

Plans for the new location date back to summer 2024, with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filings outlining the $4.5 million build in Northwest San Antonio.

Since its 2018 debut in downtown New Braunfels, Muck & Fuss has earned a devoted following for its lively environment and elevated yet approachable menu. Guests can enjoy a rotating selection of 38 craft beers from Texas and national breweries, weekly outdoor live music and chef-driven dishes that range from house-ground burgers to inventive appetizers and scratch-made sauces. The menu was developed in collaboration with North Carolina chef Kris Fuller, executive chef of the acclaimed Crafted, giving the restaurant its signature elevated take on casual dining.

Longtime New Braunfels residents Terry and Celina Muckenfuss are also behind the restored Prince Solms Inn and Sidecar, a speakeasy-style cocktail bar tucked beneath the historic hotel. Their vision centers on creating community-focused spaces that combine hospitality, flavorful cuisine, and a welcoming atmosphere.

For Central Texans who have long traveled to New Braunfels for a night out, the San Antonio expansion brings the same award-winning burgers, craft beer and dog-friendly energy closer to home. Muck & Fuss was recently named Best New Braunfels Restaurant in the Best of San Antonio 2025 – Food & Drink Readers’ Choice, further cementing its reputation as a must-visit Hill Country destination.

Whether you’re a burger enthusiast, craft beer lover or simply looking for a lively, community-oriented place to gather with friends and family, Muck & Fuss is poised to bring the New Braunfels experience straight to the heart of the Alamo City.

Another shakeup has quietly hit one of New Braunfels’ busiest retail corridors.

Two California-born restaurant chains — Fatburger and Round Table Pizza — have shuttered their locations at the Marketplace shopping center along the I-35 corridor in New Braunfels. They leave behind empty storefronts less than two years after the restaurants first opened.

Round Table Pizza now has a sign on the door that reads "We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your loyal support of Round Table Pizza in New Braunfels. Serving this community has truly been an honor and we have greatly enjoyed being part of your family's gatherings, celebrations and everday moments."

The message goes on to invite customers to visit Round Table's locations in San Antonio, however two of those have permanently closed as of last month. A third restaurant is still active at 22815 US-281, Suite 101, San Antonio, TX 78258.

Fatburger meanwhile wrote in colored marker "WE ARE permanently CLOSED" on one of the windows near the entrance. A sign attached to the door reads "It has been an honor serving you the at 'Last Great Hamburger Stand.' We want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your support and allowing us to be a part of your community. Over the years, your loyalty has meant everything to us."

Both restaurants opened side by side in late 2024 as part of an expansion by parent company FAT Brands Inc., a global restaurant franchising group that owns dozens of well-known dining concepts.

The medieval-themed Round Table Pizza opened first in October 2024, known for its "royal" menu of specialty pizzas. Signature offerings include King Arthur’s Supreme and Montague’s All Meat Marvel.

Fatburger opened next door weeks later in November 2024. Founded in Los Angeles in the late 1940s, the burger chain built its reputation on grilled-to-order burgers served with customizable toppings. At the time, company leaders described Texas as a major growth market. The New Braunfels location marked the chain’s 10th in the state, and executives said dozens more restaurants were planned as part of an aggressive expansion strategy.

Both brands are part of the growing portfolio of FAT Brands, which acquired Round Table Pizza in 2021 during a larger push to build out its restaurant holdings. In addition to Fatburger and Round Table Pizza, the company’s portfolio includes Johnny Rockets, Fazoli’s, Twin Peaks, Smokey Bones, Marble Slab Creamery, Great American Cookies, Hot Dog on a Stick, Pretzelmaker, Buffalo’s Cafe, Buffalo’s Express, Hurricane Grill & Wings, Elevation Burger, Native Grill & Wings, Yalla Mediterranean, Ponderosa Steakhouse and Bonanza Steakhouse.

Despite the company’s wide footprint, FAT Brands has faced financial challenges in recent months. Earlier this year, the California-based franchiser filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Texas while carrying roughly $1.3 billion in debt, citing industry pressures such as inflation and declining customer demand for casual dining.

The closures in New Braunfels also come as both chains have faced turbulence elsewhere in the region. Earlier this month, a Fatburger location on San Antonio’s Far West Side near Loop 1604 and Culebra Road shut down. In February, a Round Table Pizza location off Interstate 10 and Huebner Road in San Antonio also closed less than a year after opening.

As housing costs surge across the I-35 corridor, a Central Texas food bank is stepping into an unexpected role — homebuilding.

A transformational apartment complex in New Braunfels aimed at preventing homelessness and stabilizing families is now expected to open this summer, following several years of unexpected delays, Monica Borrego-Jones, executive director for the New Braunfels Food Bank, told MySA via email.

The Apple Seeds Apartments project, led by the San Antonio Food Bank in partnership with the New Braunfels Food Bank, the McKenna Foundation and NB Housing Partners, is designed as a transitional housing program for families struggling with rising rents. The roughly 52-unit development will offer below-market apartments alongside job training, financial literacy programs and food access services to help families stabilize their finances and transition into permanent housing.

The roughly $12 million project broke ground in June 2021. Leaders say the development represents one of the first housing initiatives of its kind led by a food bank in the United States, according to a news release.

The program will operate as transitional housing, allowing residents to live at the complex for 24 to 36 months while participating in programs designed to help them move toward long-term stability. The apartments are also located next door to the New Braunfels Food Bank’s existing services, allowing residents to easily access food assistance and other resources while they work toward self-sufficiency.

The project comes as growth across the I-35 corridor continues to push housing prices higher in communities like New Braunfels, where many workers struggle to live in the same city where they work.

Construction partner Woolsey Design Build previously described the development as a community-focused project intended to help residents remain rooted in New Braunfels rather than being priced out of the region, according to a 2025 Facebook post.

"From framing to final finishes, our team is pouring decades of craft and community pride into every square foot so that future residents have a place to live, connect, and thrive," the post read.

Community partners have continued to invest in the initiative as construction progresses, including the McKenna Foundation presenting a $750,000 contribution to the New Braunfels Food Bank to support the development and its long-term programming.

While earlier projections anticipated the apartments opening in 2025, project leaders say the timeline has shifted. The New Braunfels Food Bank did not provide updates on potential move-in dates for residents.

Six-time Olympic medalist Elana Meyers Taylor was honored in downtown New Braunfels on Saturday.

Thousands of people lined the streets to congratulate the hometown bobsledder who won Olympic gold in the monobob last month in Italy.

It was her fifth Olympics. The sixth gold medal means she is tied for the most medals by any U.S. woman in Winter Olympic history.

The 41-year-old Meyers Taylor finished with a combined time of 3 minutes, 57.93 seconds — just four-hundredths of a second ahead of Germany’s Laura Nolte, underscoring how close that competition was.

As the name suggests, the monobob is the individual version of bobsledding, where athletes push and pilot their sled alone.

“Today we gather to celebrate one of our very own. A hometown hero, whose determination, resilience, and heart have inspired our city and our nation,” said Mayor Neal Linnartz. “Elana Meyers Taylor is more than a champion athlete. She is a proud New Braunfels resident, a devoted wife and mother, and now a six-time Olympic medalist with Team USA.”

Meyers Taylor arrived in New Braunfels Main Plaza on a fire truck, with her husband and two sons.

“I’m so glad to bring this gold medal back to New Braunfels,” said Meyers Taylor. And from the bottom of my heart, and from my family as well, thank you all so much for all that you guys have done. ... I really appreciate the community support here, and that’s why I love living in New Braunfels.”

Monobob is a relatively new Olympic event, having first been introduced in the Winter Olympics in 2022 in Beijing, China.

Meyers Taylor said her Olympic journey has been quite storied, with ups and downs, "But it’s so awesome to be able to finally have the gold medal after more than 20 years of hard work and determination," she said.

"It took a lot of fight, a lot of battling through, overcoming obstacles," said Meyers Taylor, adding that this is what she wanted to show with her journey — "that whatever you’re facing today, you can overcome it."

Being in Flash Flood Alley, New Braunfels has historically faced severe floods, highlighting the need for a robust warning system, which led to installing these sirens across the city.

New Braunfels City Council approved the purchase of sirens in late 2010 and they were installed in early 2011. There are a total of eight sirens that sit atop 40-foot galvanized poles along the Comal River, Guadalupe River, and Dry Comal Creek.

These sirens are strategically placed to alert those in flood-prone areas or areas that may be affected by rising river levels. That includes those who have homes in those areas as well as campgrounds, RV parks, and businesses. Each siren is loud enough to be heard at least a mile away, and four of the sirens are also equipped with voice-announcement capabilities that are audible within half a mile.

The system, which can be used for a variety of emergencies beyond floods (like fires, tornadoes, or hazardous material spills) is part of a multi-tiered alert system. Beyond the sirens, residents can also register their mobile phones to receive emergency notifications from the city’s Emergency Notification System (ENS), commonly called Reverse 911.

Door-to-door notifications by first responders, social media alerts, website alerts, as well as text and email alerts are all part of the city’s emergency notification plans. In the case of potential flooding, the warning sirens are manually enacted by Fire, Police, and Emergency Management personnel based on river flow data and information from the National Weather Service.

Depending on the scope of the storms and the unfolding flood emergency, those sirens can also be accompanied by face-to-face evacuation notifications, reverse 911 phone calls, and additional digital alerts by email, website, and social media.

PLEASE NOTE: Sirens are routinely tested at 11:58am on the first Tuesday of each month
