The Stragglers are one of the best country bands ever assembled. As far as I'm concerned, the entire damn world oughta be singing along to "Somewhere Down in Texas" every time they hear it. Hell, if all was right with America, "When I'm Stoned" would be overplayed on country radio.

For two and a half decades, Boland hasn't changed his style, his delivery, not even the central theme for most of his music (aside from a recent foray into aliens and love songs), but I'll be damn if it isn't always good country music. Yet, his music is underserved by country music lovers. These poor, poor people.

The title track off his '13 Shooter Jennings-produced album is outstanding, and it was co-written with Stoney LaRue.

As a young jock in 2002, I began playing this song off a burned CD a friend gave me. The only problem was I didn't know the title, so I took a stab at it and went with "Passion and Losing Friends." C'mon now, you can't be held up from sharing greatness by something as trivial as the proper title. Y'all truly take the internet for granted.

On social media recently, I saw Tyler area locals discussing their favorite pizzas, and as I was starting to grab all the photos you can see below showing all the great pizza joints, it reminded me that there is good pizza all over town.

It’s always good to know that no matter where you are it’s not very far to get some good pizza.

These restaurants pile on the toppings and make sure the pizza is perfect before it gets served to customers. If you’re looking for a really good pizza, I would try one of these recommended restaurants or pizza joints because you will not be disappointed. Just remember to save me a slice.

If you are ever in downtown Tyler around breakfast time, you've got to stop by P&K Koloaches and Donuts. In fact, it may be the one kolache and donut spot in East Texas that is worth being late to work for, just remember to get something for your boss, too.

The first time I tasted a P&K kolache, my life changed forever. It had bacon, cream cheese, jalapenos, and pineapple. I'd never imagined that combination in my wildest dreams, but it was the perfect mix of sweet, spicy, and delicious bread. Have you been there yet?

Now, with the anterior hip replacement technique, qualified patients can undergo this procedure with less pain and faster recovery time and often see range of motion return almost immediately.

Traditionally, partial knee replacement surgery is less invasive than total replacement procedures, and the patient can retain healthy cartilage, ligaments and other tissue. However, partial knee procedures can be more challenging for surgeons – even a slight misalignment can mean a prosthesis that is short-lived or “feels wrong” to the patient. Because of this, many patients choose to receive a total knee replacement, which has a high satisfaction rate but could mean replacing a lot of healthy tissue.
