English Bulldog Puppies for Sale in San Antonio, TX

When it comes to buying purebred puppies, there are a lot of breeds and questions to consider. Do you want an outdoor pup or one that spends its time indoors? Are you looking for a tiny dog you can take with you everywhere or a larger breed you can lay with on the couch? Of all the purebred puppies to choose from, none are quite like the English bulldog. Their sourmug face might not be for everyone, but if your ideal version of man's best friend is a snorty, stocky ball of wrinkles that loves to lounge, a bulldog could be perfect for you.

Bulldogs are beloved for their unique looks and charming personalities. They have strong reputations for being loyal companions, making them incredibly popular for families and individuals alike. There's just something about their squishy face and bowling ball body that makes you want to love and cuddle them forever. Unfortunately, finding a purebred English bulldog from your local shelter is like searching for a needle in a haystack. When you factor in the fact that many English bulldog breeders are less-than-reputable, finding the right bulldog puppies for adoption in San Antonio, TX can be challenging.

If you've been searching high and low for purebred English bulldog puppies from a responsible breeder, don't give up hope. Your search may be coming to an end sooner than you think with the help of IrresistiBulls.

While our dogs come from champion lines, they're perfect for families, provide unconditional love, and will probably be your new dinner bell, too.

Trial

It's Science, Not Trial and Error

Our cherished bulldog, Bruiser, was a unique boy. He stood out from other dogs. Like Bruiser, IrresistiBulls stands out from other breeders because we base our breeding practices on science and careful consideration.

Our goal isn't just about selling English bulldog puppies. It's to ensure that every puppy we breed excels in health, temperament, intelligence, and obedience. We don't rely on trial and error, which often yields more errors than successes. Extensive research underpins our methods to guarantee the best possible outcomes. Our dedication extends not only to the families welcoming our puppies into their homes but also to the well-being and quality of life of the puppies themselves. That's the IrresistiBulls difference.

Sire

Sire and Dams Bred for Excellence

When it comes to longevity, health, temperament, and intelligence, it all starts with the dam and sire. That's why our English bulldog sires and dams are carefully selected for their excellence, champion bloodlines, and genetic traits. We're not your run-of-the-mill English bulldog breeders in South Carolina; we've perfected our method. We genuinely care and view every puppy we bring into the world as a part of our extended family. Each one of our dogs is truly the "cream of the crop," guaranteed to pass on greatness to their offspring.

Around

World-Class Bulldog Lineage from Around the World

We meticulously breed for highly coveted traits and take proactive measures to limit traits that can lead to health conditions in your puppy. Our efforts have successfully eliminated issues such as corkscrew tails and narrow nares, ensuring a worry-free experience for our puppies and their new families.

An Improved Process of Breeding Purebred English Bulldog Puppies for Sale in San Antonio, TX

Breeding any dog, especially English bulldogs, poses health concerns. We make every effort to breed English bulldogs with the desirable genetic traits while working to eliminate those that could result in health problems. The key is to avoid breeding puppies that are closely related and could potentially have genetic abnormalities.

Unfortunately, some breeders are either irresponsible or lack an understanding of the complexities involved in producing healthy English bulldog lines. We only breed dogs with the best-quality lineages and never take unnecessary risks by breeding dogs with overly similar ancestry. This approach safeguards not only our business but also the well-being of the puppies and the families who welcome them into their homes.

Buying English bulldog puppies for sale in San Antonio, TX is a joyful and exciting experience. Whether you're a single pup parent or have a family with children, you'll love your new bulldogs' affectionate, loyal nature and will laugh out loud at their quirky attitude. However, bringing a bulldog puppy home necessitates careful forethought and organization to guarantee a seamless adjustment for both you and your new furry pal. Keep these essential tips in mind when it's time to bring your bulldog puppy to your den.

Safe Space

Create a Safe Space

Choose a cozy and secure spot in your home for your bulldog puppy to relax and feel at ease. You might want to opt for a crate or a puppy playpen to create a snug and den-like space for them.

Supplies

Stock Up on Supplies

Gather essential supplies such as water and food, nutritious and high-quality puppy food, a leash and a collar, bedding, chew toys, and grooming items. If you're worried about overdoing it, don't fret. It's better to be overprepared and have extra than to be underprepared and need more supplies.

Puppy-Proof

Puppy-Proof Your Property

It's important to get your home ready for your new bulldog puppies before they arrive. English bulldog pups are inquisitive by nature and love to play, so expect some high-energy bonding early on. Clear away any small objects that could be swallowed, hide electrical cords, and remove any toxic plants to keep them safe.

Make the Most Out of Our Puppy Starter Kits

In the first few days, weeks, and sometimes months, it can be challenging to adjust to having a new puppy at home. Settling

Settling In After the First Few Days

During the initial days following the arrival of your bulldog puppy, it's essential to focus on establishing a nurturing environment and a consistent routine to build a strong bond. Here are some helpful tips to help your puppy settle in smoothly.

Routine

Get a Routine Going ASAP

If there's one thing bulldogs thrive on (besides nutritious, yummy food), it's a routine. After you've been with your new bulldog puppy for a few days, try creating a schedule. Plan out time for eating, bathroom breaks, training, and playing. We should note that it's important to create a schedule that can be incorporated into your family's routine. You don't need to rearrange your life, but you will need to cater to your new doggo to an extent.

Remain Calm

Try to Remain Calm and Patient

If you had to move to a new home when you were very young, you probably have an idea how a bulldog puppy would feel, too. It can be overwhelming - not just for your bulldog, but for you too. That's why you should try to be as patient and calm as possible while your new addition gets acclimated to their new surroundings.

Whether you're an experienced dog owner or a newcomer, bringing your puppy into their new home should be nothing but a joyful occasion. At IrresistiBulls, we're happy to help make sure you don't go home in a tizzy. That way, you can focus on spending time with your bulldog puppy and creating a loving home from day one.

Top 5 Reasons to Consider English Bulldog Puppies for Sale in San Antonio, TX

Bulldogs are undeniably one of the most adored dog breeds in the world. Their wrinkled faces, stocky bods, and fun personalities have endeared them to dog lovers everywhere. Have you ever met an English bulldog owner who didn't love their pup? We haven't. If you're still on the fence about buying a bulldog puppy for you or your family, you may want to re-think that stance after reading these reasons.

Playful Bulldog Images San Antonio, TX

Generally speaking, bulldogs are great pets for kids. That's because they're incredibly calm, fiercely devoted, and, well, lazy. A screaming, tugging child doesn't faze them. They'll even let little ones dress them in cowboy hats and tutus without batting an eye.

 Family-friendly Bulldogs San Antonio, TX

Owning a bulldog means there's rarely a dull moment in your home. Whether they're snoring so loud it puts your sleep apnea to shame or interrupting your thoughts with a little flatulence, English bulldogs will make you smile even if you're in a bad mood.

Make no mistake - bulldogs must get exercise to remain healthy. However, when given the choice, many bulldogs would rather curl up on the couch with you than go for a multi-mile run.

English Bulldog Puppies San Antonio, TX

If you think breeds like border collies get all the credit for being smart, think again. Have you ever seen a border collie ride a skateboard or surf a wave? Probably not - but bulldogs are known for such feats. That's due in part to their low center of gravity, but it's mostly because bulldogs are so cool.

A group of inmates attacked two correction officers in South Texas this summer. One inmate was convicted despite his claims of not participating in the attack that left an officer hospitalized.

Aaron Gutierrez, 31, was convicted of assaulting two correctional officers during his time at Coastal Bend Detention Center in Robstown. Gutierrez is a Rio Grande Valley native from Donna, according to a news release.

In August 2023, Gutierrez was said to have participated in the attack alongside six other inmates. Officials say he and the group escaped from a recreational area through an unlocked gate and ran down a hallway to attack another inmate from a rival gang. Other correctional officers restrained all inmates who were involved within a minute of the attack but not before injuring officers, the release said.

Two officers escorting the inmate were attacked in the ambush; they suffered injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment. One of the officers did require surgery. The targeted inmate was in full restraints at the time of the attack and was also hospitalized due to injuries.

In court, Gutierrez claimed that while he intended to join the fight, he never got the chance because he was the last one to leave the recreation yard. However, testimony showed that all inmates participated in the attack.

Gutierrez was found guilty as charged with two counts of assaulting or impeding a federal officer following a one-day bench trial that occurred in September of this year. Correctional officers at Coastal Bend Detention Center work on behalf of the U.S. Marshals Service and are protected as federal officers.

Gutierrez's sentencing will begin in January 2025. He faces up to eight years in federal prison and will remain in custody pending a hearing, according to the release.

The other six inmates involved in the attack also remain in custody. They include San Antonio's Raul Valdez, Edinburg's Emilio Salinas, and Corpus Christi's Benito Aguire, John Steve Espinoza, and Adalbert Pena.

Fresh handmade sushi, large snow crab legs and raw oysters are all things you won't find in the Texas Hill Country. That is until a new family-owned seafood brand cracks open its Boerne location in 2025.

Pinchy's Lobster & Rawbar, a Sevierville, Tennessee-based seafood spot, is eyeing a spring 2025 grand opening date in Boerne with a soft opening anticipated for March. But how did a Tennessee seafood restaurant choose Texas for the brand's second location? Well, it all starts close to home.

"I have family that lives right near Boerne," said Pinchy's Lobster & Beer Company owner Nick DiBartolomeo to MySA. "I've been traveling there for 10 years and love the market. I felt like it was a great spot to put our second one."

DiBartolomeo is a New England native and noticed the lack of New England seafood options in the area making Boerne an ideal choice to set up shop.

Pinchy's Lobster & Beer Company has been operating for the past three years in Sevierville, which happens to be the former home of the largest Buc-ee's in the country. The brand has spent the last six months looking for a new town to expand its business before selecting the burgeoning town off I-10.

"For us, it's really about settling in a community that we can support, that will support us, appreciate what we do and bring a new style of cuisine to a market," DiBartolomeo said.

The Sevierville eatery creates 14 varieties of sushi rolls like the $17 California roll, $22 rainbow roll and $20 Cheetos Flamin' Hot roll stuffed with spicy crab meat, cream cheese, avocado, topped with Flamin' Hot Cheetos crumbles and spicy mayo.

There are plenty of fresh seafood options on the "Peel-N-Eat" raw bar menu with prices for half a pound of seafood starting at $16 and a full pound costing $30. Hungry visitors can pick raw oysters, shrimp, Prince Edward Island mussels, Little Neck clams, salads, soups, lobster rolls, sandwiches, and snow crab legs. Prices may vary by the time Pinchy's opens in 2025.

Pinchy's Lobster & Rawbar will be located at 250 River Road, Boerne, TX 78006. The Cibolo Creek spot was home to the former El Cazador Restaurant and Bar, which closed on July 15, 2023, just one year after opening in 2022.

For 25 years, Bonds Rock Bar has exemplified San Antonio's nightlife scene with its live music, stiff drinks and dive bar sensibilities. That's why it came as a shock to longtime customers when the bar and venue announced it would be closing at the end of 2024.

"The property has been sold to a developer that will be tearing down the building for another downtown hotel. We do not have a closing date yet for the downstairs bar, but the upstairs venue will close at the end of the year. The downstairs will remain open until they decide to to start the hotel project," the business wrote in a heartfelt message to its social media followers on Monday, October 7.

Bonds Rock Bar will continue to host its final slate of shows through the end of the year, with 24 more nights of live performances planned for the coming weekends. The bar is also selling off all of its merch, including T-shirts, caps, shot glasses and more. Once they run out, that's it.

"We are grateful for your support over the years. We will always cherish the memories and great friends that we have made," Bonds Rock Bar said in its goodbye post. "If you want to support San Antonio's Original All Rock Bar - Bonds Rock Bar - we will be here to serve you for a few more months."

Several regional bands reacted to the news in the post.

"Nooooooooo! We had the BEST time playing there - only once! Unforgettable - the best!" - Firecracker Smile

"Wow this comes as a heartbreaker! Your place was so welcoming and we had some great shows there. Thank you for your support to the Texas music scene!!" - Ritual DFW

"Extremely sad news. Thank you so much Bonds Rock Bar for welcoming us & giving us an amazing stage and killer sound for our performances. We will be supporting the shows we can until the end of the year!" - Powerhouse

MySA will continue to update this story as more information is made available.

Stephon Castle joined the San Antonio Spurs hoping to prove himself as a worthy defender. So far, he's done exactly that, playing a big role in the young team's overall defensive mindset.

In this story:

SAN ANTONIO — Stephon Castle didn't have to make many adjustments coming to the NBA.

With the San Antonio Spurs, the rookie was put in what he described as a "perfect situation." He'd be playing under Gregg Popovich, for one, but to add to it, he was coming from playing under Dan Hurley and winning an NCAA title at UConn.

It all seemed to be a perfect storm, which only made him work harder on his shooting, his versatility — which has earned him a great deal of praise — and also his defense.

The latter was especially high on his list.

“I (brought) my defensive presence to gain respect from my peers and teammates," Castle said. "Once I initiated that and set the tone with it, they bought into accepting me.”

They being his teammates. Fitting into a culture long-established was certainly a challenge the rookie had to face. He knew what he brought to the table, but he had to show it. Luckily, his defensive prowess made that relatively simple.

“I see him fitting (in) very well,” Spurs star Victor Wembanyama explained. “I’ve seen exponential progression from him from one practice to the other. The way he learns is pretty impressive.”

READ MORE: Castle Impresses Spurs Early with Versatility, 'Own Pace'

As much as Wembanyama has so far enjoyed playing alongside Castle, so, too has the rookie enjoyed playing with Wembanyama. And for a defensive-minded guard, having a player the likes of the Frenchman has already payed dividends for his personal abilities.

"It makes me more aggressive defensively, knowing I can pressure up a little more." "(There's) not much of a penalty if I get beat. I have Vic behind me.

"That gives me a lot more freedom and confidence on the ball."

Castle made it a goal to "take pieces " of his teammates' games to help him learn and improve, but ultimately, he defaulted to playing his game at his pace.

That's what's earned him the most praise.

"Everyone can agree here that defense wins championships," Spurs forward Jeremy Sochan said of the rookie. "Everyone has to play defense, and he came in as a defender. He’s been proving that."

“Obviously he’s young, but … he wants to be great," Harrison Barnes added. "I’ve liked his ability defensively to pick up the concepts pretty quickly, and then go out there and make an impact.”

That impact, to this point, isn't clear-cut. Castle has the ability to defend multiple positions as well as he can play them, so there are plenty of routes the Spurs could take with the No. 4 overall pick.

That only increases his value. But no matter where he plays or how well he does, his mindset — and his goals — will be the same: Play defense and keep pace.

If he does that, he'll likely prove Wembanyama's point exactly right.

"Very impressed," Gregg Popovich said of Castle after one week of training camp. "(He's a) really mature young man. Has a great demeanor and way about him ... has a good basketball IQ."
